Whether it’s vibrant street markets, serene temples, or everyday moments that make life here special, we want to see your perspective. The winning photo will be featured in our book, shared with newcomers, and available across the installation—so your work can inspire others! Submit today and show off your Korea!
Description of Contest:
Humphreys United Club (HUC) announces its annual photography contest. The 2025-2026 DMZ to the Sea publication will include photographic submissions that best reflect life and culture in the Republic of Korea.
HUC members will vote on their favorite photographs and the winners will be recognized at the HUC May luncheon. 1st place winner will receive a framed print of their photo, prize and invitation to the May Luncheon. 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive a prize and invitation to the May Luncheon.
Contest Rules:
- The DMZ to the Sea Photo Contest is open to all SOFA-status members of the military, government, industry and civilian sector.
- Contestants are limited to three (3) entries and the entry must be the original work of the contestant.
- An official entry form must accompany each entry with all requested information provided.
- Size each image to a maximum of 1080 pixels wide and 1920 pixels high.
- To be considered for the cover the photo MUST be in portrait orientation, submitted in high resolution and original size, not compressed.

!! Do not edit the images with image editing software. Composite graphic images and manipulated artwork are not eligible. Digital photographs submitted with deleted or altered data files will be disqualified !!
We strongly encourage photographers to ensure they correctly program their digital cameras for correct DATE & TIME settings.

Submission Directions:
-Entry forms and photos must be sent by email:
dmztothesea@humphreysunited.org no later than March 7th, 2025, 11:59 PM.
- No physical photos will be accepted.
-Photographs must have been taken on or after June 1st, 2024 through March 7th, 2025.
-Photographs will be judged based on photographic quality, composition and subject matter reflecting the theme of the DMZ to the Sea.
-Winners will be notified by email at the end of March 2025. Winners will be invited to the May luncheon.
-All submitted photographs may be posted online and used in the DMZ to the Sea, postcards, calendars, and other publications.
